"Thor 3: Ragnarok" updates remain to be pure speculation as of writing.

Apart from Marvel confirming that the third installment will take on the Ragnarok storyline, no one really knows what to expect from the God of Thunder.

Rumors are claiming that the new flick will introduce new characters.  Interestingly, Loki is not Thor's only brother, and speculations are running wild that his other brother Týr will be part of the cast of "Thor 3."

"In the Marvel canon Týr is the God of War - another child of Odin and Frigga, an older half-brother to Thor (he's a half-brother as canonically Thor is birthed by the goddess Gaea, not Frigga)," Movie Pilot noted.

"Whilst he's generally stood by as a protector of Asgard, like Loki he has also rebelled against his father as a reaction to Thor's perceived superiority. He's battled Surtur (the fire demon mentioned above who's instrumental to the events of Ragnarok) to defend Asgard, and also fought off Norman Osborn (Green Goblin) when he launched an attack on the rebuilt Asgard, defying a prophecy that predicted his death during this battle."

MCU has already used his character, not as Odin's son, but as the Commander of the Einherjar in "Thor: The Dark World." So as far as this rumor goes, it could be highly possible that Týr will be reintroduced in "Thor 3: Ragnarok."

Meanwhile, as for Thor's well-liked evil brother, Loki, no one knows what lies ahead for him, at least that's what Tom Hiddleston recently claimed in an interview.

"I don't know," Hiddleston told Coming Soon.

"I think I won't be able to help it if I ever play him again, and I just don't know when that's gonna happen, if that's gonna happen. I would never lose his dimension, but it's so interesting. I've talked with Chris Hemsworth, how those characters have changed as we've changed. It's five years ago since I played him for the first time. That's a long time ago. So who knows what I'll be cooking up!"

"Thor 3: Ragnarok" is slated for a Nov. 3 2017 release.
