George RR Martin is already one of today's most talked about authors because of his "Game of Thrones" masterpiece. It looks like he has one more project up his sleeve.

As revealed by BBC, it would appear that George RR Martin has one more book-to-TV franchise in the midst. This new book, "The Skin Trade" - a project that he completed during the 80s - was confirmed to be getting its own pilot script. That said, it is highly likely going to get a TV slot pretty soon.

"I am very excited to announce Cinemax - HBO's sister company - has optioned the television rights to 'The Skin Trade' - the offbeat 'werewolf noir' novella I penned back in the late 80s," Martin said. "The deal is closed! Cinemax has ordered the pilot script! This being Hollywood, of course, you never know where things will end. But, if they like the script, we will shoot a pilot. If they like that, hey, who knows? Maybe we will get a series on the air!"

Although "The Skin Trade" will be premiering on TV soon, this is actually not the first time that George RR Martin tried to advertise the franchise. As revealed in the report, the author had actually first started to sell the book's TV rights during the 90s. "It was 'The Skin Trade" that I was actually trying to sell back in 1991 when I flew out to LA for a round of pitch meetings!" he said. "So, we are a few decades late!"

Despite Cinemax's script order, though, George RR Martin seemed to be more focused on finishing the sixth 'Game of Thrones' book. "While I would have loved to write the script and run the show myself, that was never really in the cards," he assured "Game of Thrones" fans. "I have this book to finish! You know the one!"

"To handle the adaptation, script the pilot, and produce the show, we have tapped a terrific talented, young script writer named Kalinda Vazquez," he revealed.
