"Halo 5: Guardians" release date had already passed, and its gamers have already been itching for a new story-based downloadable content, or DLC, for it.

Sadly, it was revealed that there will be now DLC for the game after all.

"Halo 5: Guardians" release date was on Oct. 27, 2015. It is the fifth installment of the highly played gaming franchise. Since its launch, gaming critics have been hard at work for its full review. That said, the game has been described to be the boldest "Halo" version yet, as mentioned in Latinos Post.

This new version has a new mode that players will surely want to keep coming back to. Plus, a new campaign has also been improved with a fluid movement feature, as well as an open level design.

One particular aspect that was not as impressive as the rest, though, would be its narrative. Apparently, some parts of its narrative were left underdeveloped. This could potentially prevent "Halo 5: Guardians" release date gamers from reaching their full potential within the game. This could be the biggest reason why "Halo" gamers are looking for the additional story DLC.

The studio head of 343 Industries, Josh Holmes, confirmed that, at present, there are no plans for a "Halo 5: Guardians" DLC release date.

"While we are always looking for new ways to expand the 'Halo' universe, we do not currently have any plans to release future campaign content for 'Halo 5: Guardians,'" Holmes told Red Bull.

Although the Internet is abuzz with reports that there are going to be no DLC for the new game, some gamers are still hopeful. After all, the "Halo 5: Guardians" release date was only several days ago. However, when 343 Industries confirmed that none of their developers are presently working on a single-player DLC for the game, fans' hopes were quashed.

According to Game Rant, the studio's main focus right now is on a multiplayer mode for a post launch content. Plus, it has been reported that it is relatively unlikely for devs to begin working on a DLC soon, since 343 Industries have reportedly only worked on such project one time.
