It was two years ago when Hemsworth decided to break things off with Miley Cyrus. They were already engaged at the time, but the 25-year-old "Hunger Games" actor - for certain reasons - opted to end the engagement.
For the past several months, there have been rumors that Hemsworth and Cyrus were still secretly seeing each other casually. Now, though, the latest reports prove that the actor has already moved on from his previous relationship. OK! Magazine has confirmed that his older brother, Chris Hemsworth, is really happy that his baby brother has found a new love interest.
"The Hemsworth family has been desperate for Liam to find love again," an insider revealed. "After Miley, he really did turn into a bit of a dating hermit!"
As Franchise Herald has revealed, Chris is very happy with Liam's new girlfriend choice. Apparently, he was not a huge of Miley's and had a love-hate relationship with her. Still, considering his younger brother's feelings, he opted to take her in and accept her for who she was. Plus, the report also hinted that Chris was supportive of Liam, especially during the time that he was still recovering from the highly publicized breakup.
Now that Liam "is hooked up with Maika," Chris took it upon himself to inform their "curious parents that she is a winner." Apparently, Liam Hemsworth dating his "Independence Day 2" co-star Maika Monroe is making him smile again.
"Everyone is very excited about this romance, but no one more than Liam and Maika!" the insider continued. "They are falling madly in love!"
Although both Liam and Monroe have neither confirmed nor denied these dating allegations, witnesses during a cast party held by Roland Emmerich revealed some juicy details about the rumored couple. "His hand was on her butt as she was grinding into him!" an eyewitness revealed to Us Weekly. "They were making out at the bar. Liam was draped all over her. It was so PDA and in your face!"
