Paul Walker's iconic Brian O'Conner is expected to make an appearance in the upcoming "Fast and Furious 8" and now fan are asking if his brother Cody will be filling in his sibling's shoes.
Latest news have revealed that after the untimely death of "Fast and the Furious" star Paul Walker, the first of the final trilogy will still feature the return of his character, Brian O'Conner. According to a report by MovieNewsGuide, speculations about Brian O'Conner's return began when cast member Jordana Brewster's Mia Toretto was rumored to be returning to "Fast and Furious 8."
This has ultimately sparked the idea that Cody Walker, Paul's younger brother and uncredited cast member of "Furious 7," might return to "Fast and Furious 8" to fill in a few scenes as Brian O'Conner. Previous reports, however, have revealed that Brian O'Conner's return will not be via casting the Walker brothers. This theory was further proven after IMDB suddenly removed Cody Walker from the official cast list of "Fast and Furious 8."
Yibada, on the other hand, shared that while makers of "Fast and Furious 8" indeed have Brian O'Conner's return in mind, it will not be via casting Paul Walker's brothers.
"Recent reports stated that although Walker's character Brian O'Connor was seen choosing a different life and parting ways with his friend Dominic Torreto, played by Vin Diesel, the makers of the movie are planning to bring back the character by including multiple flashback scenes through CGI and computer imagery," said the report.
To date, confirmed cast members of "Fast and Furious 8" include Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham, as revealed by PopSugar. The report also pointed out that while other veteran "Fast and the Furious" cast members have yet to confirm their return in "Fast and Furious 8," it's likely that the entire motley crew will return in the first installment of the final trilogy.
