"Mass Effect: Andromeda" nears its 2016 release date. Here's what else we know.

It is still a good year away before "Mass Effect: Andromeda" release date but already, news about what gamers could expect has been buzzing online. According to the game's designer, Colin Campbell, while this is the fourth installment, creators and developers behind "Mass Effect: Andromeda" need to be as dedicated and experienced to make the perfect installment and actually meet the expected release date.

"I take care of how we create levels for 'Mass Effect: Andromeda'," introduced Campbell in an interview with Express. "If you're making a big RPG, like we're making, they are big moving beasts so you need a team that is capable of taken vision from high up and populating it out to a game that in a lot of cases devs won't see the parts of it."

"You need to have a really good team that has really good communication, I might tell a level designer that we need to make a level where we're feeling like we are entrenched, pushing people back from all angles, we want that kind of feeling," added Campbell.

Come "Mass Effect: Andromeda" release date, fans are already expecting a quite different installment but creators have revealed that this will still give the feel of the franchise. One of the biggest changes in "Mass Effect: Andromeda" will be the last appearance of Commander Shepard.

A report by IrishExaminer revealed that "Commander Shepard's chapter is over, it seems. BioWare Montreal boss Yanick Roy said that plans haven't changed regarding Shepard's involvement in the continuation of the 'Mass Effect' saga."

According to BioWare, as "Mass Effect: Andromeda" arrives on its release date, "this game is very much a new adventure, taking place far away from and long after the events of the original trilogy."

"You will play a human, male or female, though that's actually not the character you saw in the trailer (more on that later). You'll be exploring an all-new galaxy, Andromeda, and piloting the new and improved Mako you saw. And through it all, you will have a new team of adventurers to work with, learn from, fight alongside of, and fall in love with," it revealed.

"Mass Effect: Andromeda" release date is set in Q4 2016.
