Despite Disney keeping mum about any particulars about "Frozen 2," plot, cast and release date rumors abound online. And while some remain to be far-fetched ideas as of writing, others excite waiting fans.
A previous report shared that Anna could have her own power in the sequel, and while directors Christopher Buck and Jennifer Lee confirmed that Anna's power is the "power of love," fans are continuing to speculate that she will have tangible powers like Elsa.
If these rumors were true, can fans expect the sequel to focus more on Anna?
"We have confronted a new report that claims that the moviemaker is trying to develop some particular characters from the original story," Movie News Guide reported. "If the previously mentioned rumor emerges true, then Anna will surely become much important character with lot of things to do in 'Frozen 2.'"
With the rate they are going it would seem that Disney is really dedicated to perfect the sequel. Based on their own track record, the House of Mouse has barely succeeded in producing well-received and blockbuster follow-ups to big titles.
"Which is another gigantic potential pitfall: with the high expectations for Frozen 2 to be even better than the original, it's almost impossible for the film to live up to people's hopes," Movie Pilot reported. "After all, possibilities are always more appealing than reality."
"Crucially, by having a release date so far in the future, Frozen 2 also runs the risk of losing their biggest fanbase to grumpy teenagehood. Kids are fickle, and forgetful, and they can only be drip fed Frozen merchandise so long until something else steals their adoration."
"Of course, with Disney appealing to such a large age range, people will definitely go to see the film in droves, but Frozen 2 will also have to work well as a standalone, as there will be plenty of new, younger fans to enthrall."
