"One Punch Man" episode 9 may see the death of Genos.

"One Punch Man" episode 8 ended with Genos showing up at the evacuation shelter where the Deep Sea King went to attack the people. Based on the manga, "One Punch Man" episode 9 will see Genos fighting the gigantic sea monster.

The cyborg actually managed to blow the Deep Sea King away with his punch. However, the monster was able to recover fast and ripped Genos' right arm off, sending him towards the shelter's wall.

This made the Deep Sea King angrier and transformed into an even scarier being. Genos gave it his best shot and was able to exchange blows with the monster.

"One Punch Man" episode 9 will also reveal another power of the Deep Sea King. A child offered encouragement to Genos as he battled the monster.

This annoyed the sea creature and he tried to spit on the little girl. Apparently, the Deep Sea King's saliva is made of acid and would have melted the kid.

Genos was able to shield the girl with his body but the acid made him weak. The sea monster grabbed the cyborg by the head and was on his way to killing Genos when Mumen Rider arrived.

However, people were already thinking that the top class C hero had to chance at winning against the Deep Sea King. He was easily beaten up by the monster.

Fortunately, Saitama arrived. The Deep Sea King hit the hero-for-fun in the head but Saitama was not affected by it at all. He even taunted the monster that his punch was weak.

As usual, Saitama's iconic one-punch attack blew a hole through the middle of the Deep Sea King's body and saved the city once again.

The Deep Sea King actually killed a lot of heroes in "One Punch Man" episode 8 including Stinger, Lightning Max and Puri-puri Prisoner.
