The highly-anticipated Nintendo NX 2016 may be able to play games such as "Call of Duty," "FIFA" and "Grand Theft Auto."

Express reported that the Nintendo NX 2016 would be a big hit if it has popular games such as "CoD," "FIFA" and "GTA." It is still unknown whether third-party developers, such as EA and Capcom, will be giving their support to the upcoming console.

Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter commented that having other games could be one of the key factors to Nintendo NX 2016's success. According to him, without big titles such as "Call of Duty," "FIFA" and "Grand Theft Auto," the console might not be able to succeed once more in the competitive market.

Pachter's appearance on an episode of Siftd, showed him discussing how Nintendo seems to have learned from Wii U and may be able to ship a lot of units if they can provide the same gaming experience as their rivals in addition to their exclusive titles.

"But third-party support, so you should be as a gamer indifferent among any of the three consoles except for first-party content," Pachter said.

"Because you should be able to play 'Madden,' 'FIFA,' 'Call of Duty' and 'Grand Theft Auto' on any console you wish, and then the deciding factor becomes whether you can play Nintendo content, Microsoft content, or Sony first-party content."

He added that Nintendo lost its way when it did not feature "Grand Theft Auto" and "FIFA" on the Wii U. Furthermore, if those same games are not on Nintendo NX 2016, then "it is doomed before it launches."

IGN reported that the CEO of "Yo-Kai Watch" developer Level-5, Akihiro Hino, has considered their games for Wii U and Nintendo NX. According to him, if the console will be able to bring Level-5 games to as many players as possible then there would be a possibility that they would use the new platform.

"If kids are willing to buy both ['Pokémon' and 'Yo-Kai Watch'] of them, I couldn't be happier," he said.
