Someone who looks like Nina Dobrev will be coming to "The Vampire Diaries" season 7 next year.

Australia Network News reported that a new vampire villain will be introduced on "The Vampire Diaries" season 7 when it returns after its break.

Although fans are hoping that Nina Dobrev would come back, actress Leslie-Anne Huff, who will portray the evil vampire hunter Rayna, actually looks a lot like the "Final Girls" star.

"TVD" executive producer Caroline Dries told TVLine that Huff's resemblance to Nina Dobrev was "definitely just a coincidence." Moreover, Dries is aware of how Leslie-Anne Huff looks a lot like Dobrev.

"We looked at a lot of actors, and I was like, 'I think she looks exactly like Nina,'" she admitted.

"I was convinced otherwise. I actually haven't met her yet in person, though, and everyone says she doesn't look like her in person."

However, according to Design&Trend, the actress, who has made guest appearances in shows such as "NCIS," "Bones" and "The Protector," was not casted because she looked like Nina Dobrev.

"She's a great actress, and she's perfect for the role," Dries added. "We'll get to see her present-day story and then everything will click when you see her in the future."

In another report by TVLine, it was revealed that Huff's character, Rayna, is described as a "fierce, driven, smart and confident" vampire hunter who "returns to the world of the living after being taken out by her enemies."

There were speculations that Rayna was the one talking to Damon, portrayed by Ian Somerhalder, during his hallucination. At that time, Damon thought that he was speaking to his mother, Lily (Annie Wersching).

Ian Somerhalder was recently blasted for purportedly using Nina Dobrev to increase the ratings of "TVD" season 7. The show has suffered low viewership ever since the actress made her exit from the series.

"The Vampire Diaries" season 7 will air on The CW on Jan. 29, 2016 at 8 p.m. ET.
