The ball is now on Floyd Mayweather's hands after Manny Pacquiao won against Chris Algieri via unanimous decision. He doesn't have an opponent yet on his scheduled match on May 2015 and no fight would make much more sense than finally facing Manny Pacquiao next year.

Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather were nothing but talk since they were matched-up against each other. With the two only engaging on social media wars for such a long time, the interest in this dream fight has deteriorated as well. However, it would still remain boxing's top draw when it happens. Both fighters may no longer be at their peak but it's all about cementing their legacies-which is just as important for a fighter. Without further ado, here are three reasons why Floyd should agree to this dream match already!

1. Best time to prove that you are the greatest boxer of all-time

Money shouldn't be inserted in the conversation anymore; the prize will definitely be theirs for the taking. At this point of each fighter's career, nothing would be much sweeter than cementing your legacy as one of the greatest boxers ever. Even Floyd Mayweather Sr. is already pushing his son to go for it!

From Boxing Insider:

"The source, who's both a manager and trainer and quite knowledgeable, said Floyd Senior made the remark about Pacquiao as they discussed other matters. He wasn't absolutely sure that Daddy Floyd wanted his comments repeated so he asked me not to identify him. He's known the father for many years. Floyd Senior, he said, wants the fight to cement his son's legacy and bring in what would certainly be the biggest haul in boxing history. The source wasn't absolutely certain when they spoke two weeks ago that the entire team was in agreement on a Pacquiao fight.

'I thought at the time that maybe the dad was just saying that because he was trying to motivate the fight.' Just the fact that the father is pushing for the fight is significant, but the source said that since then he's seen other indications that the rest of the team is on board."

2. Manny Pacquiao's jokes on Mayweather are getting funnier now!

Foot Locker recently released their Week of Greatness advertisement and Manny Pacquiao was featured in one. In the ad, he overheard two boxers talking about the thing that people wanted to happen which he thought was the dream fight between him and Mayweather.

Pretty funny, right? During Manny Pacquiao's post-interview in the Algieri fight, he did it again!

Pacquiao's response on his possible match with Mayweather:

He said it, he is ready. There's no need to mention that whatever demands Floyd might throw at him. Manny is eager to comply.

3. Your son already called you a 'coward'; don't let the whole world call you as such

"He is a coward," said Koraun, Floyd Jr.'s son with Josie Harris in an interview with USA Today as he recounted the incident that led to Mayweather's two-month incarceration in 2010.

"[My dad] said to lock my door and stay in my room," Koraun said. "I sat there and thought about what I was going to do next. Just for like a minute."

"[I] hopped over the gate and went to the main entrance gate. I just told [the guard] that my mom was getting hurt and to call the ambulance and the police."

The boxer was later charged domestic violence for the attack, to which he pled guilty. He was sentenced to six months for that outburst, but half the jail term was suspended.

This is definitely not the image Floyd Mayweather wants after working all his life being known as the boxer he is now. Prove your critics wrong and step up in the ring with Manny Pacquiao!
