As the New Year has ushered in new hopes and expectations, Samsung too is planning to woo the customers all over again with several flexible phones in 2016.

Several Galaxy S7 phones are lined up to be launched in Jan. 2016. As per the reports in Latin One, Samsung Galaxy will be the world's first foldable smartphone. A recent report hints that the Korean tech giant may replace its curved panels, soon, with one that's actually foldable and bendable. This reminds the users of the days of Moto G which of course was a different technology with a flap.

As per the report in Business Koreathe company representative of Samsung said, "The industry believes that the commercialization of foldable smartphones will be possible in 2016."

Another executive of Samsung further confirmed the information stating, "The expansion is inevitable because it has been announced that Samsung Electronics have requested of 8 million flexible panels per month for Galaxy S7."

The techgurus speculate that the Galaxy S7 is expected  to come with a 5.5-inch, 4K Super AMOLED screen, a 3.0_ GHz octa-core Snapdragon processor, 4 GB of RAM, 30 MP main camera, 7 MP front snapper and "Iris on the Move." Alternatively, an Exynos 16-core big.LITTLE chip is also expected.

Business Korea further added, the flexible displays will be primarily used for Samsung Galaxy S7, however will nevertheless expand among laptops and monitors too. Many industry speculations regarding the foldable panel are creating a buzz in the tech world.

An industry official's words had been cited, "When flexible display technology is being used in e-books and laptops, which are substituted for publications, the concept of tiny portable PCs and e-books will be realized in reality."

It is believed that LG too is in the league to launch a foldable phone in the form of LG G5 in Dec.2016. However since Samsung will release it early in Jan. this year, the industry experts expect it to scoop up the market share.
