According to Yahoo! Sports, Porzingis has enjoyed being in the pressure-packed city of New York. After being booed when drafted, Knicks fans have been very passionate in displaying their love for the prized rookie.
The top rookie has already won 2 Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month awards.
Despite his stellar play, the Knicks have continued to struggle as they are currently at 12th place in the Eastern Conference with a 16-19 standing. The team's highest paid player, Carmelo Anthony, has been expressing his displeasure with their performance. As stated by bleacherreport.com, Anthony said "Losing is frustrating. I don't want this to be an ongoing situation or an ongoing feeling where we have to come into the locker room and explain why we're losing basketball games."
He then added "Things that happened on the court, I probably thought should've went my way. That can be frustrating at times. It seems like it's just starting to become repetitive now."

Experts believe that the Magic would benefit from adding the All-Star scorer to help propel them to championship contention.
In addition, the Magic are seen as the team with the best package for Melo that the Knicks would entertain. With the Magic's Elfrid Payton improving, the team could send Victor Oladipo, Tobias Harris and draft picks for Anthony. This would boost the Knicks' backcourt while giving them pieces for the future.
