Netflix Latest New Releases: Must Watch Movies And TV Series Dropping This Month

Netflix dropped some big news as it went global with its streaming service. Now, more viewers can anticipate the latest new releases of must watch movies and TV series.

As posted on the company's media center, the global launch of the service happened on Wednesday in an announcement during the Consumer Electronics Show 2016.

"With this launch, consumers around the world -- from Singapore to St. Petersburg, from San Francisco to Sao Paulo -- will be able to enjoy TV shows and movies simultaneously -- no more waiting," co-founder and CEO Reed Hasting announced. "With the help of the Internet, we are putting power in consumers' hands to watch whenever, wherever and on whatever device."

"We're looking forward to bringing great stories from all over the world to people all over the world," he added.

While the world awaits the changes on Netflix, more people can now enjoy the latest new releases that includes original movies, TV series and shows.

Today, the special "Tom Segura: Mostly Stories" will drop on the streaming service. While on Jan. 13, the seventh and final season of "Parks and Recreation" will be made available for binge-watching, according to Decider. Come Jan. 15, "Degrassi: Next Class" will be added into the original movies and TV series list of the streaming company as it becomes available.

Netflix original TV series "Occupied" is also among the latest new releases this January, as told by Slate. It will drop online on Jan. 15 as well.

Before the month ends, on Jan. 29, the special "Ever After High: Dragon Games" will also be made available.

Chelsea Handler will also be making her debut on Netflix with her docu-series "Chelsea Does" on Jan. 23.

"What I am doing for Netflix is vastly different from what I did on E! and I am very happy with my work," Chelsea Handler told People in November. 

"It's the best job in the world!" she also told The Wrap.
