''Vikings'' was first premiered on History Channel on March 3, 2013 in the US and Canada.

This action packed drama written by Michael Hirst will be entering the fourth season on Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016 at 10 p.m. ET on the History channel. Initially ten episodes would be aired starting Feb, 18 every Thursday and later the remaining ten will be aired.

Travis Fimmel is in the lead and the fourth season starts in continuation where the third season had ended.

As reported by collider, the show has become a surprise hit and the trailers are already on air in the History Channel. Ragnar Lothbrok which is portrayed by Travis Fimmel plays the role of a Viking leader. Bjorn Ironside portrayed by Alexander Ludwig is the son of Ragnar and Lagertha. Even though he followed his father's footsteps and became a formidable warrior, now in the fourth season, the father and son will face many tense situations.

Like the previous seasons, this narrative will include brutal battles, murder, romance, and mysticism. In short it will have all the elements to make this a successful saga.

This TV series based on Norse legendary sagas of medieval Scandinavia will portray a tense situation and power battle between King Ragnar Lothbrok, his ex-wife Lagertha, son Bjorn and brother Rollo.

As reported by IBT Times, the season 3 ended with the French Emperor Charles offering Rollo, land, title and the hand of his daughter. In the premiere of season 4, Rollo will not only accept the offer, also will betray his fellow vikings to gain political stability and heightened status with King Charles.

The trailers seem to be quite interesting. Now the followers of the series are waiting for the actual drama to unfurl.

Travis Fimmel, Katheryn Winnick, Clive Standen, Jessalyn Gilsig, Gustaf Skarsgård, George Blagden, Gabriel Byrne, Alexander Ludwig, Alyssa Sutherland, Donal Logue, Linus Roache, Ben Robson, Kevin Durand and Lothaire Bluteau are starring in this fantastical historical drama.
