Onika Tanya Maraj professionally known by her stage name Nicki Minaj came in media galore after signing a recording contract with Young Money Entertainment in 2009.
This Trinidadian-born American rapper is all set to come back to studios in 2016.
As reported by mediamass, rumors of Nicki Minaj working in recording studio are true. It seems she has recorded eight songs and even though her team is keeping tight lipped about the news, however it is out there.
Minaj is also rumoured to be planning a worldwide tour at the end of 2017. As reported by India today, Minaj won the People's choice award on Jan 7, 2016.

Minaj's debut studio album, "Pink Friday" (2010), peaked at number one on the U.S. 2010 was truly a lucky year for Minaj as it saw seven of her singles simultaneously charting on the U.S Billboard Hot 100.
Apparently 2016 started with a good note for this hip hop and R & B singer. Her journey has been smooth sailing so far. Her second studio album, ''Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded'' was released in 2012. This also topped the chart and its lead single, the pop crossover "Starships" was given the fifth position on Billboard Hot 100.
Minaj's third studio album, ''The Pinkprint'' was released in 2014 and again was a great success. After this she ventured in her film career with 2012 animated film ''Ice Age: Continental Drift''. She also played a supporting role in the film ''The Other Woman'' which was released in 2014.
In 2013, she was a judge on the twelfth season of ''American Idol''.
After having such a versatile career in such a short span of time, the fans are waiting for her new album which is rumoured to be released this year after a long break from her music career.
