Recently, Kurt Sutter the producer of "Sons Of Anarchy" announced that he is currently working on a new prequel.

He told Deadline that he has a lot of plans for the upcoming prequel, and that he will be coming up with at least 10 episodes for the show.

Christian Today has recently reported that the upcoming prequel will be focusing on the early days of the motorcycle club, Redwood Original. As per the report, the show will be featuring the life of Jax's father and how his relationship with Piney began. The story will also relay how they have started building the motorcycle club.

E! Online has reported that Sutter will be revealing a historical story in the series which he will be setting in 1960's Vietnam.

"So we can see the roots of the club and I see it as a different show in terms of I don't think it will be as pulpy," he said. "I feel it will be a little more, I don't want to say a historical show, but it takes place in the '60s and it's Vietnam, so there's a lot of iconic events happenings around it that influence John Teller."

Rumors have been arising that Brad Pitt will be added to the prequel as John Teller, but Pitt is yet to comment about it. On the other hand, Charlie Hunnam thought it would be exciting to work with the "By The Sea" actor.

"Did you read that about Brad Pitt maybe playing my dad?" Charlie said in an interview with Men's Journal. "Brad Pitt as John Teller. How awesome would that be?"

Aside from the prequel, Sutter also revealed that he wants to do a spin-off for the story.

"I never really saw [a spinoff] as a full-on series because when you start doing that, I want to honor this mythology we created and I didn't want to step on it, so I think I like the idea of it being a one-off and perhaps just to establish how the club was formed and let it go at that," Sutter told E! in an interview.

He revealed that he might be doing it with Mayans biker club as the focal of the story to establish a unique identity for the characters.
