Grammy award-winning band Maroon 5 has been rumored to release a new album this 2016.

As per prnewswire.com, the band is set to go on the road for a Fall 2016 tour that will start in San Antonio, Texas on September 3 this year. The tour will be all over North America and European venues.

In a report by mediamass.net, "rumors of Maroon 5 (Adam Levine, ed) working in recording studio are true, with as many as eight songs having been put to tape." A source said, "It's still in the early stages. They got security on the doors to ensure no-one hears a whisper."

Experts believe that lead singer Adam Levine will be letting go of some control for this new album similar to what he did in their 2014 release "V." As per kdhnews.com, Levine spoke about how he enjoyed finally collaborating with different artists in their previous release. "I was trying to control it all," Levine said.

"But if you want to be a band that's going to be around for 20 or 30 years, you're going to have to change what you do at some point. We developed a really nice system on the last record - we found songs we were passionate about, developed them and put our stamp on them - and I think we all started to enjoy ourselves in the studio. This time, we kept it going, but looked for different types of songs."

When asked about working with pop songwriters Max Martin and Benny Blanco once again in "V," Levine said, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Honestly, it's a huge relief for me, because for a long time it felt like making an album was this daunting task, and I had to be at the center of it. It wasn't fun anymore."
