A few months from now, the "Prometheus" sequel, "Alien: Covenant," will begin production in Sydney, Australia and most recently, it has been confirmed that the film will be set a decade after the "Prometheus" events.

It was Ridley Scott collaborator and costume designer Janty Yates who revealed, in an interview with Collider, that "Alien: Covenant" will take place "10 years in the future beyond 'Prometheus.'"

Yates also added that the upcoming sequel will not so much have spacesuits in it, saying, "[It's] not so much of a spacesuit movie. There are two different spacesuits in it. We are only carrying on one look from 'Prometheus,' which is with David."

Accordingly Movie Pilot, in its report, speculates that "the scarcity of spacesuits" in "Alien: Covenant" suggest an alien stand-off that will happen in the confined limits of a vessel or a space station, just like what happened in the original "Alien" movie.

Meanwhile, Crossmap confirms previous reports saying that Michael Fassbender's David will be the "only remaining survivor of the first expedition." At the end of the 2012 first "Prometheus" movie, Dr. Elizabeth Shaw (Noomi Rapace) and David boarded the Prometheus in a quest to find the Engineers.

Another clue cited in the report is the last part of the synopsis for "Alien: Covenant" published by 20th Century Fox that reads: "Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world whose sole inhabitant is the "synthetic" David, survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition."

The phrase "sole inhabitant" pretty much confirms that Dr. Elizabeth Shaw did not make it; but what happened to her?

Crossmap further makes a wild prediction that Dr. Elizabeth Shaw died during the expedition (or murdered? By David?) or she has turned into a rabid Alien! The report, apparently, did not elaborate further how Dr. Shaw can become an Alien.

In an interview with MTV U.K., Rapace said about her character, "She wants to go there where they come from, those giants, those creatures. And I think in her head that's the dark paradise, in a way. So what's there, you know? I don't know, I think she wants like answers, she wants to know. I feel like I'm sharing her curiosity but also her anger."
