Following the first images of "Assassin's Creed" released last December, another set of new stills have been revealed from the upcoming video game adaptation.

In the new three movie pictures released via Aus Gamers, we see "Assassin's Creed" taking place in both the modern times and the olden times. On one picture, Michael Fassbender's Callum Lynch is seen in a battle, wielding a sword and whose hands are in chains.

The other picture shows Fassbender in white prison uniform with a priest reading to him the Bible. The last picture shows Fassbender with another assassin in a pre-mission briefing, looking at a target from up high.

Marion Cotillard, Michael Kenneth Williams, Denis Menochet and Ariane Labed are also starring in the film. It was previously revealed that Callum Lynch, the character Michael Fassbender plays, is not an actual character in the video game. Fassbender, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, also revealed that he hadn't played "Assassin's Creed" before he was approached to do the lead for the adaptation.

Design & Trend, accordingly, confirmed that filming "Assassin's Creed" is essentially finished and some members of the cast took part in motion capture sessions in the closing days. And perhaps confirming that filming is done was Denis Menochet and Marion Cotillard's separate posts with the captions, "last shot" and "that's a wrap," respectively.

Meanwhile, Metro, in its report, took notice of the strange coincidence that in the year that the "Assassin's Creed" will be released, there will be no new mainline "Assassin's Creed" release, which is the first time in six years.

Fans could not help but compare it to the first time the "Tomb Raider" was released and during the same year, no new "Tomb Raider" game was released. What happened years after is that the second "Tomb Raider" film didn't fare well for critics and in the box office while gamers started to dislike the game.

Hence, fans are worried that "Assassin's Creed" may share the same fate, not to mention, that the film's release, Dec. 21, 2016, is only a week after "Star Wars: Rogue One."
