There are still millions of fans around the world waiting for the next chapter in the iconic movie trilogy.

Despite the demand, the Wachowski siblings have not ventured to continue their breakthrough project and sought to make other, less profitable projects instead, the last of which was last year's "Jupiter Ascending."

Recently, The Guardian reported that Netflix struck a deal with UK's Channel 4 to run a new show titled "Kiss Me First" based on a young-adult novel by Lottie Moggach. The storyline had similarities to "The Matrix" that some people confused it for a spinoff.

The plotline is actually about a Leila, described as "a lonely 17-year-old who is addicted to an online gaming site." She meets Tess, who is "a cool and confident party girl with a dark secret." The story will run as a six-part drama.

Piers Wenger, Channel 4's head of drama, said "This is a thrilling and truly groundbreaking series which takes an emotional look at the lives of a group of young gamers and the truth which exists behind their online life."

In the meantime, there are now sites that claim they have information on "Matrix 4." One of them is Release Date Portal who had some bold claims.

They state that "Keanu Reeves, who played the lead role of Neo in this franchise, said that he met The Wachowskis on Christmas and he told him that he had completed the script of next two parts of this franchise."

The site, however, did not provide any links or quotes to support this claim. Until further information emerges, it is better to take the information with a grain of salt.
