"Nisekoi" Season 3's release date remains in limbo, as Shaft Studio is yet to renew or cancel the anime, according to When Will.

Fans want more information on the show's third season. Viewers took to Reddit, posting their questions online.

"Correct me if I'm wrong, season 2 is scheduled to be 12 episodes only," said a Reddit User. "Then this season is almost done. So when is the possible season 3 release?"

Another fan of the show thinks that if the series does not make enough money, the show will be canceled.

"Anime doesn't really earn money though, so its popularity, profit doesn't really matter," said whut-whut on Reddit. "The industry is designed to bleed money at a loss when making anime, to sell manga issues and licensed products. If they don't make back that money on licensed goods and manga and don't sell enough DVDs of the anime, then they pull the plug."

"Nisekoi" is also known as False Love but literally means, fake love and is an anime adaptation of a romantic-comedy Japanese manga series. The story revolves around Raku Ichijo, who is a high school student and the son of Shuei-Gumi, a yakuza boss.

The heroine of the anime series is Chitoge Kirisaki. She is a rival syndicate leader's daughter, who accidentally met Ichijo in school. They become close friends and the two find out that they are both children of warring clans.

Akiyuki Shinbo is the series' director and screenwriter. The show premiered in Jan. 2014 on Tokyo MX, GTV, GYT and other Japanese television channels and was licensed by "Aniplex of America" for the North American territory. It is broadcasted on online streaming websites like "Hulu" and "Crunchyroll."

"Madman Entertainment" also licensed the anime for the Australian territory and Kazé UK for the United Kingdom area, shared ReleaseDate. No announcement has been made as of Dec. 2015, as to when "Nisekoi" Season 3's release date will be.

The second season's first episode premiered on April 10 and the last episode was broadcasted on June 26, 2015.

No official announcement has been made, with regard to "Nisekoi" Season 3's release date.
