"No Man's Sky" gameplay doesn't look as promising, as the hype is starting to die down.

When the news of the survival adventure video game first blew up, gamers everywhere were curious about the open universe that can be explored freely. The concept of open worlds is exciting enough, but the concept of an open universe opens up billions of possibilities.

According to Forbes, contributor David Thier opened up about the latest hype that is blowing up especially since only the "No Man's Sky" gameplay is its main selling point.

"No Man’s Sky had a rare honor for an indie game: the developer gave us our first look at its title on Sony’s E3 stage, not in some indie-round-up, but in a stand-alone segment that ended up being one of the company’s most successful announcements that year," he said in the article.

He reportedly took a step back to view a game that is getting a lot of attention despite coming from a small team, which could allegedly be an equation for major disappointment.

Hello Games' studio founder Sean Murray expressed his thoughts on the gameplay of "No Man's Sky" and the hype that it is receiving, as they reportedly don't want to over-hype the game.

“I think that we strayed into this area that is not just excitement, but kind of like hype," he explained on GameSpot. "Hype is your worst enemy as a developer, because it's that thing that's really impossible to deliver against.

"It's great that people have that excitement, but all it makes me want to do is actually go quiet and go and make the game.”

"No Man's Sky" doesn't have an exact release date but it is said to be out by June 2016.

"No Man's Sky" is an upcoming adventure video game by indie studio Hello Games. Players are given the task to explore an open univers that has over 18 quintillion planets all unique in their own way. Players will gain information about their planets and submit it to "The Atlas," a universal database, that can be shared with other players.
