The fans of Sienna Miller and Robert Pattinson are waiting to see the online chemistry of the former lovers in the upcoming action adventure biographical film, ''The Lost City of Z.''

This much-awaited movie will be released sometime in 2016. It is based on the 2009 book of the same name by David Grann.

''The Lost City of Z'' is written and directed by James Gray and produced by Brad Pitt, Dede Gardner, Dale Johnson, Anthony Katagas and Jeremy Kleiner.

The plot revolves around the real events of the British explorer Percy Fawcett who made several attempts to find an ancient lost city in the Amazon. Unfortunately, he finally disappeared in 1925 along with his son in the search for the city.

Charlie Hunnam plays the role of Colonel Percy Fawcett. The rest of the casting as per IMDb goes like this: Robert Pattinson as Corporal Henry Costin, Sienna Miller as Nina Fawcett, Tom Holland as Jack Fawcett, Bobby Smalldridge as 7-year-old Jack Fawcett, Tom Mulheron as young Jack Fawcett, Angus Macfadyen as James Murray, Edward Ashley as Corporal Arthur Manley, John Sackville as Simon Beauclerk and Adam Bellamy as Cecil Gosling.

There were rumors of Brad Pitt dating Sienna Miller sometime back. Will this movie bring them back together and cause Angelina Jolie more anguish?

Robert Pattinson also shares screen space with Sienna Miller and they too had a relationship in the past. So will it hurt ''The Twilight Saga'' famed actor Pattison to see Miller spending time with Pitt too?

Originally, James Gray was hired by Paramount Pictures and Plan B Entertainment to write and direct the film in Feb. 2009. Unfortunately, the film remained in development stage for six years. In 2015, in an interview with Indiewire, Gray admitted that he had developed the script for a while before moving towards production.

"(it's) very complicated production and the story is amazing, but it's a complicated story. And you want to get it right. It's a very, very scary proposition to go into the jungle and all that. But at the same time it's terrific. It's why you make movies." Gray explained.

So how will the movie fare in the box office? Will it create any special moments in the personal lives of the actors too?
