'Captain Marvel' Latest Casting News: Marvel Inching Closer To Announcing Actress To Play Carol Danvers?

The fans of Marvel Comics and films based on the characters of Marvel Comics are waiting with anticipation for the release of ''Captain Marvel''.

As per the latest information on the official Facebook page of the upcoming ''Captain Marvel'' movie, Nicole Perlman & Meg LeFauve will co-write Marvel's "Captain Marvel." The movie is scheduled to be released on Nov. 2, 2018. However the page was updated on Apr. 21, 2015 and there are more information released post that.

Cinemablend chose Katee Sackhoff as the top contender for the role of ''Captain Marvel.'' However, in 2014, The Mary Sue had reported that Katee Sackhoff isn't playing ''Captain Marvel'' although she would have loved to play the role if it was offered to her.

Movie Pilot chose Emily Blunt and Natalie Dormer for the coveted role of ''Captain Marvel.'' Emily Blunt was appreciated for her roles in ''The Devil Wears Prada (2006),'' ''The Young Victoria (2009),'' ''The Adjustment Bureau (2011),'' ''Looper (2012),'' ''Edge of Tomorrow (2014),'' ''Into the Woods (2014),'' and ''Sicario (2015).''

Natalie Dormer, meanwhile, is known for her roles as Private Lorraine in ''Captain America: The First Avenger'' and her latest role as Sara and Jess Price in ''The Forest'' was appreciated by the film fraternity.

Bryce Dallas Howard's role as Claire Dearing in Steven Spielberg's iconic movie ''Jurassic World'' which was released in 2015 will remain in the memories of ''Jurassic Park'' themed movie lovers. Her forthcoming movie, ''Pete's Dragon,'' will premiere in cinemas on Aug. 12, 2016.

Rebecca Ferguson too was a popular choice. After her performance as Ilsa Faust in ''Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation'' got her a nomination for ''Critics' Choice Movie Awards.'' 

Screenrant talked about the date of release of ''Captain Marvel'' to be pushed to March 8, 2019.

Comicbook mentioned that the house of Marvel is now busy with the release of the upcoming movies in 2016. ''Deadpool'' will be released on Feb. 12, 2016, ''Captain America: Civil War'' will be released on May 6, 2016, ''X-Men: Apocalypse'' on May 27, 2016 and ''Doctor Strange'' will be released on Nov. 4, 2016.
