"Dragon Ball Super" has taken the manga world by storm because of its fresh take of the characters.
The introduction the 12 universes have expanded the world of Dragon Ball which would mean a significant impact on how the story unfolds. The story will no longer revolve around the Gohan, Goku and the gang as other universes will be definitely involved in the future.
But aside from the existence of universes, curious characters have already emerged. According to the manga released online on My Manga, one of the fighters for universe six is another Saiyan that goes by the name of "Kabe" and experts on the Dragon Ball anime and manga series will immediately identify the old uniform of a Saiyan. This confirms that Kabe is actually a Saiyan but only from another universe.
Before proceeding with the story of Kabe, every anime fan should know that the names of Saiyans are often associated with vegetables. The new character is no exception since his name is attributed to cabbage.
According to the Wikia page dedicated to the character, Kabe is a Saiyan from the Planet "Salad" (a play on words on vegetables). They are also a warrior race that was able to get rid of their tails as they slowly evolve. Based on their uniforms, they are also an old warrior race that did not suffer the wrath of internal conflict or even Frieza.
One of the lengthy discussions on Reddit is the Kabe's gender. The manga did not indicate if the character is a male or female. This question is very significant because if Kabe is indeed a girl, the recently known Saiyan would be the first female Saiyan ever. Only the next chapters would reveal the actual gender of Kabe.
With regards to his possible opponent, there is a chance that Kabe might face Gohan in the tournament. It should be noted that Buu is no longer part of the tournament for failing the test which means he has to be replaced by someone powerful.
Kabe, on the other hand, might be bumped off the team fights where he (or she) could win by default. This situation will only change when Gohan arrives to fight another Saiyan.
