There have been reports coming out that the Church of Scientology is looking for a new wife for Tom Cruise. The actor hasn't gone out on a date ever since his divorce from Katie Holmes so maybe he is still waiting for the organization to find him the girl that they would approve.
A few years ago, Vanity Fair exposed the controversial auditioning process arranged by the Scientology officials to find a wife for the Hollywood superstar. There are reports that a new TV show could be based on the arranged marriage of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes.
Variety announced last Friday that E! ordered 10-hour episodes of the new series called "The Arrangement." The plot of the drama is stated below.
"Described as a modern day Cinderella story with a complicated Hollywood twist, 'The Arrangement' follows a young actress, Megan Morrison (Christine Evangelista), who auditions for the female lead in a summer blockbuster to star opposite the hottest male action stars, Kyle West (Josh Henderson). After Megan's amazing audition leads to an incredible first date and more with Kyle, her Cinderella story takes an unexpected turn when she is presented with a contract that would change her life forever."
According to Deadline, the lead star of the TV series is linked to a controversial spiritual center just like Tom Cruise with the Church of Scientology. The new E! channel show is written by "Mad Men" producer Jonathan Abrahams.
"We love the way Jonathan has juxtaposed dark storylines against a backdrop of Hollywood glitz and glamor," Jeff Olde of E! said. "His unique and sinister twist on the classic fairy tale love story is a perfect addition to E!'s pop culture line-up."
If "The Arrangement" will be about Tom Cruise and his search for a new wife, then it could be a long process since she needs to get the approval of the actor, the Scientology officials and pass many tests.
So what does the "Mission Impossible" star want in a woman?
According to OK! magazine via Celeb Dirty Laundry, Tom Cruise apparently admires George Clooney's wife, and he hopes to find an established business woman of his own that is as classy and intelligent as Amal Alamuddin. However, the actor is also open to dating actresses but she should be young and can be molded into a perfect wife.
