Katee Sackhoff Emerging As Favorite To Play Carol Danvers In ‘Captain Marvel’ Movie?

Katee Sackhoff is a name which is coming up fast in the ladder of talent in Hollywood. This American actress was appreciated by all for her role as Lieutenant Kara "Starbuck" Thrace in TV series ''Battlestar Galactica.''

Going by her mettle, the house of Marvel is thinking about starring her in their upcoming female superhero movie ''Captain Marvel.''

More news was reported by Cinemablend when Sackhoff was selected as the popular choice for Marvel for the role of Carol Danvers.

Sackhoff is known for her roles in science fiction series. ''The Fearing Mind'' which was aired on the ''Fox Family'' channel between Oct. 21 until Dec. 2, 2000 saw Katee Sackhoff as Lenore Fearing. This TV series did not become very popular, though.

Then Sackhoff starred as Nell Bickford in ''The Education of Max Bickford.'' This TV series was aired on CBS between Sep. 23, 2001 - June. 2, 2002. This college drama helped Katee evolve as an actress further.

Then her recurring roles in the TV series ''Bionic Woman'' (aired between Sep. 26 - November 28, 2007 on NBC), ''Robot Chicken'' (aired between Feb. 20, 2005 - present), ''Nip/Tuck'' (aired between July. 18, 2003 - Mar. 3, 2010 on channel FX) made her a popular household name.

Her roles in ''Star Wars: The Clone Wars'' (2008 TV series) and ''CSI: Crime Scene Investigation'' made her a popular choice for science fiction and horror genre TV series and movies.

Sackhoff acted in more than a dozen movies which included ''Batman: Year One'' which was released in 2011. Her role as Det. Sarah Essen where she lent her voice to the animated character made the DVDs very popular. This movie to date has sold DVDs worth $5,251,108.

Her role a Joyce in ''The Haunting in Connecticut 2: Ghosts of Georgia'' scooped up $2.38 million USD on the box office. This psychological horror film gave Katee a chance to show her acting prowess.

Katee is often away from media galore. Enstarz had reported her as foul-mouthed way back in Apr. 2015.
