For the past years, news about the next Narnia movie has not been making any rounds which left people thinking that the last of the trilogy that was released would end the movie series.

However, for the past couple of months, news has been circulating that the movie series will be continued but rebooted with another installment, the fourth book from C.S. Lewis' fantasy series, The Silver Chair.

Slash Film in their report stated that the new film is currently in the works but won't be including anybody from the original cast. As Slash Film reports, Mark Gordon, producer of the film, told Collider that the film will be a complete reboot.

"No, it's all going to be a brand new franchise. All original. All original characters, different directors, and an entirely new team that this is coming from," he said.

This means that actors from the previous movies which included James McAvoy as Mr. Tumnus, Liam Neeson who served as the voice of Aslan, Will Poulter who portrayed Eustace and Skander Keynes, William Moseley, Anna Popplewell and Georgie Henley who played as Edmund, Peter, Susan and Lucy Pevensie, the lead roles of the film, won't be present in this upcoming reboot of the series.

In addition to the report, it was clarified in the interview with Gordon that the "original characters" meant the introduction of new characters that were not yet featured in the first three movies. This means that The Silver Chair will have a lot of differences from the book.

A Cinema Blend article noted that The Silver Chair's lead characters will be Eustace along with his friend Jill. Together with Prince Aslan, they will be helping find Prince Caspian's heir, Prince Rilian.

With all the latest reports and updates, there is still no exact release date yet for this movie and there aren't any production schedules that has been announced publicly.
