The makers of ''Sword Art Online'' have now announced a movie to be produced by A-1 pictures and written by the same author Reki Kawahara.

As per the latest update on sword art online, they have just announced the movie. The rest of the details are yet to be frozen. Reki had written the original Japanese light novel series in 2009.

Later, it was converted into an anime television series by A-1 Pictures. The first season was aired in Japan between July and Dec. 2012 and the ''Sword Art Online II'' was aired between July and Dec. 2014.

This anime series were so popular that video games too were released for the same. ''Sword Art Online: Infinity Moment'' and ''Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment'' are extremely popular games for PlayStation Portable and PlayStation Vita respectively.

The trailer can be seen on YouTube. The movie will be directed by Tomohiko Ito and the character designing will be done by Shingo Adachi.

This movie was announced at the ''Dengeki Bunko Autumn Festival'' in Oct 2015. IGN reported that the movie will be different from the anime TV series and will tell a different story.

Reki is in the process of creating a new storyline for this film. The plot of the movie will be between Mother's Rosario and the latest Alicization publication.

Kirito and Asuna's relationship will be the main highlight of the movie. However, there will be some other characters too which will be getting ample importance in the movie.

My anime list has given some basic details of this upcoming movie. Some latest news is that a 4-disc ''Sword Art Online'' music CD collection was released in Japan on Jan. 27, 2016. So the ''Sword Art Online'' franchise has almost added everything to their portfolio.

Crunchyroll also reported that ''131 pieces of music created by Yuki Kajiura for Sword Art Online, Sword Art Online II, and the Sword Art Online: Extra Edition TV film'' will be there on the CD.
