Dakota Johnson has revealed late last year and she and boyfriend Matthew Hitt have broken up. But a new article has claimed that the "Fifty Shades Darker" star and the Drowners frontman are back together.
Dakota Johnson and her on-and-off boyfriend, Matthew Hitt, have had a tumultuous 2015 when the hype on the "Fifty Shades of Grey" was peaking. According to the multiple reports, the couple's relationship didn't survive all the craziness generated by the erotic movie.
After the film was released on Valentine's Day, however, and the euphoria died down, Dakota Johnson and boyfriend Matthew Hitt were back together in each other's arms once again.
But during a guest appearance at "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," the pretty model was asked if she's dating anybody at the moment, and she replied "no."
"Are they scared of you?" DeGeneres asked.
"You mean, like when they run away from me?" Dakota Johnson laughed. "I don't know... I guess that if those are the two options, I guess they're scared of me. They either love me or they're running for the hills."
Now, a new article from Entertainment Tonight mentioned that Dakota Johnson and boyfriend Matthew Hitt are back together.
The subject was about the model's dating life and what advice her mother, Melanie Griffith, gave her.
The article added, "'She always said not to compromise myself or my work or my dreams for anyone,' revealed Dakota, who is currently dating musician Matthew Hitt. 'Especially a dude.'"
Speaking of Griffith, the actress and her former husband Don Johnson, were at the NYC red carpet premiere of "How to be Single" to support their daughter's comedy film.
"I'm so happy they're here. That's really special," she said. "And it won't be awkward!"
Dakota Johnson had previously said that he banned Griffith and Johnson from watching "Fifty Shades of Grey" due to the sex scenes.
However, Dakota Johnson's boyfriend Matthew Hitt wasn't in attendance, which wasn't a surprise considering the Drowners frontman's very private nature.
