Hit television series "New Girl" is enjoying its stride with some of the best episodes yet this season.

Although initial news indicates that Zooey Deschanel will participate in five episodes, it turns out that her presence is mainly needed in just three.

The past two episodes were practically fillers but they also show that even though without their titular character, the series can still hold on its own especially with the right guests.

Finally, the time has come to reveal the new "New Girl" for at least, three episodes. TV Line reports.

"Fox will appear in multiple episodes as Reagan, a gorgeous, straight-shooting pharmaceutical sales rep who comes to town on business and shakes things up in the loft when she rents out Jess' room while she is sequestered on jury duty."

So what will happen to when Reagan finally arrives? First and foremost, Schmidt will have a hard time dealing with her presence. Cinema Blend reports.

"Cece's past romance with Reagan will not exactly thrill Schmidt, whose insecurities regarding his relationship with Cece have not altogether vanished since their engagement..." Yep, Cece is the reason Reagan is part of the show for now and it's not just because they were friends.

But once the insecurity of Schmidt is sorted out, Reagan will also set to get Nick. Reagan wooing Nick might even happen while Schmidt hammers out Cece's past just to get over their relationship problems before they get married.

Since Megan Fox will only appear for three episodes, the story will hit hard and fast not only in revealing their past but also in moving forward.

Of course, all these will still continue the comedic awkwardness that made the show what it is today. It might even be a refreshing new tone the show could use to get things back on track in the next season.
