George R.R. Martin's "Winds of Winter" release date will reportedly be happening before "GoT" season 7.

Australia Network reported that fans are still excited over George R.R. Martin's "Winds of Winter" release date. The "Song of Ice and Fire" author has previously announced that his highly-anticipated book is still in development.

"'The Winds of Winter' is not finished," the author wrote on his Live Journal last month.

"Believe me; it gave me no pleasure to type those words. You're disappointed, and you're not alone. My editors and publishers are disappointed, HBO is disappointed, my agents and foreign publishers and translators are disappointed... but no one could possibly be more disappointed than me."

The publication noted that there are speculations that George R.R. Martin's "Winds of Winter" release date will happen before "Game of Thrones" season 7. Another publication claims that book 6 of the "Song of Ice and Fire" series will be available in 2017.

It was said that fans could expect "A Dream of Spring" to have a 2023 release date, which is just in time for George R.R. Martin's 75th birthday.

According to Entertainment Weekly, "Game of Thrones" season 6 will return in Apr. 24. This is the first time that the series will be aired a bit late than its usual late March or early-to-mid April release.

"GoT" actress Emilia Clarke has confirmed that season 6 is "epic, it is huge, it's insane, it's silly." It was reported that filming for the upcoming season almost killed the cast.

Maisie Williams also shared how painful it was to wear her "huge" and "thick" blind contacts for the show. Sophie Turner, who is set to appear in "X-Men: Apocalypse," revealed how "Game of Thrones" season 6 will be huge for her character, Sansa Stark.

"I mean this season is a really, really big one for Sansa," she admitted to EW.

"It's probably her best season yet. It's her really coming into her own. She, this season, really commands the respect that she deserves and she grabs hold of it and she runs with it and it's really good."
