"Pacific Rim" sequel might be in the incubation stage and the release dates are pushing through.

As per the latest report on Kpopstarz, the director Guillermo Del Toro had urged the readers not to believe everything they read on the internet. "Don't believe everything you read. It's still going and I'll remain w it in one way or another!" he tweeted.

"Originally slated to shoot in Toronto in November of this year, we're now being told that the production for 'Pacific Rim: Maelstrom' has been delayed until 2016--what month specifically, we don't know," was reported by Latino Review.

Apparently, that lead star, Charlie Hunnam wanted to create "Pacific Rim 2" with less CGI (Computer Generated Imagery). The speculations talk about this as one of the possible reasons for the delay in the making of ''Pacific Rim 2.''

The 35-year-old English actor Hunnam had mentioned earlier that he would prefer to have the sequel done with less CGI and instead focus on the movie's human characters.

A few months ago, it was reported that the director Guillermo Del Toro announced that ''Pacific Rim 2: Maelstrom'' will be released on Aug 4, 2017. Then the reports came that the project is stalled for an indefinite period.

A few weeks back there was some more information from Charlie Hunnam that "Pacific Rim 2" soon might start the production stage. Also, there were chances of Hunnam taking up the role of Raleigh Becket. The original film ''Pacific Rim'' was released in 2013.

As per the latest report on Kpostarz, Guillermo is now busy with a new version of "Fantastic Voyage." This release will be for James Cameron's Lightstorm Entertainment and 20th Century Fox.

The official Facebook page of Charlie Hunnam doesn't talk anything about the making of "Pacific Rim 2." So do the makers want to keep it hush hush or the project is stalled for the time being?
