There might be some good news in store for the lovers of ''Yona of the Dawn'' TV anime series. Season 2 is rumored to be released in 2016.
''Yona of the Dawn'' is a Japanese manga series by Mizuho Kusanagi. This series was first published in Hakusensha's Shojo manga magazine ''Hana to Yume'' from Aug. 2009.
In Japanese, this manga series is also known as '' Akatsuki no Yona: Yona of the Dawn'' or ''Akatsuki no Yona -The girl standing in the blush of dawn.''
The popularity of the magazine series converted this into nineteen tankobon volumes and further an anime television series too was created. The Japanese animation studio, Pierrot Co., Ltd converted these volumes into an anime television series which was first aired between Oct. 7, 2014 and Mar. 24, 2015 at AT-X.
This anime series was also aired in North America. Funimation acquired the licence to air this anime series for home videos and streaming. They started airing the dubbed version from Mar.17, 2015.
Season 1 contained 24 episodes. It was so popular in the US and Japan that the fans are waiting for the release of season 2. Whenwill.net mentioned that Perriot studios have not taken any decision on airing the anime series.
They have neither cancelled nor renewed the anime. Officially 6685 users are waiting for the return of this series as per whenwill.net. However, the number, in reality is much larger. This is the seventh most awaited TV series which is anticipated by the fans.
The plot of this anime is based on a fairy-tale. The story is of princess Yona who was brought up with riches and comfort and does not know anything about the miseries of life. Yona's cousin killed the king and she lost her father, kingdom, palace and everything she owned. Son Hak, Yona's bodyguard saved her and protected her from her cousin who was trying to kill Yona.
So what will season 2 have in store? Will Yona get back her throne and will she be able to take the revenge of her father's murder? The fans are waiting with anticipation and all the conversation can be seen on the discussion page of when-will.
