While an Oculus Rift release date is yet to be announced, Oculus VR has already put Oculus-ready PC and Rift bundles on pre-orders.

Oculus has revealed in a blog post that users can pre-order for the Oculus-ready PC and Rift bundles starting at $1499 for a limited time only beginning Feb. 16. The bundles are currently available for pre-orders on Amazon, Best Buy and the Microsoft Store.

The newly-announced bundles include the Oculus Rift headset, Oculus Ready PC, an Xbox One controller, an Oculus Remote and a headset. The bundle also include free access to "Eve: Valkyrie," a space dogfighting game and "Lucky's Tale," a Super Mario-like game.

The Rift maker has collaborated with Asus, Alienware and Dell to develop the first Oculus-ready PCs. The PCs are available in a range of specifications and prices starting from $949 to $2349, reported The Independent.

It is to be noted that those who have already pre-ordered for the Oculus Rift VR headset will be able to purchase discounted Oculus-ready PCs in select countries and regions.

Oculus has announced that Oculus Ready and Rift bundle pre-orders will begin shipping in limited quantities to select countries and regions from retail partners from April onwards, reported ITPro.

The VR headset maker had earlier announced recommended system specifications for Oculus-ready PCs. The recommended system specification includes Graphics Card: NVIDIA GTX 970 / AMD R9 290 equivalent or greater; Processor: Intel i5-4590 equivalent or greater; Memory: 8GB+ RAM; Output: Compatible HDMI 1.3 video output; Input: 3x USB 3.0 ports plus 1x USB 2.0 port; Operating system: Windows 7 SP1 64 bit or newer.

Users who want to check if their current PC is ready for Rift can do so using the Oculus compatibility tool. They just need to download the tool and the tool will automatically test their computer against the recommended system specifications.

The company has not yet announced a release date for the Oculus Rift headset. Speculations are that the $599 Oculus Rift might get an April release date.
