There have been rumors claiming that Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx are now engaged and planning a secret wedding in Spring. However, reports are also claiming that Katie's ex, Tom Cruise, might be the number one hindrance from the actress' and Jamie's blossoming relationship.
According to rumors, Katie is afraid of what Tom is capable of doing to not let her have her happyily-ever-after with Jamie. That would involve Tom's firm belief of Scientology as well.
Katie is reportedly scared to make the jump with her new beau because she is "terrified of how her ex-husband will react to her moving on to a new life with another man," In Touch claimed as reported by Gossip Cop. Apart from her fear of Tom's reaction, Katie is also worried that he might "come crashing back into her and Suri's lives, take her to court to get more custody and try to sway Suri over to Scientology."
However, Katie looks like she's getting fed up with being connected and haunted by her ex-husband's religion. According to Raw Story, the actress is fighting back very discreetly through her new film "Touched With Fire."
"Katie Holmes spent seven years trapped in a marriage with Tom Cruise who has reached master levels in the Church of Scientology," the article mentioned. "The Los Angeles-based 'religion' is known for recruiting new members of their flock from Hollywood. Most recently Leah Remini came out about her experience as a part of Scientology and her attempts to escape. Holmes made news when she publicly apologized to Remini and Tom Cruise allegedly 'freaked out.'"
"Well, things are about to get a heck of a lot worse for Scientology at the hand of Holmes, or perhaps the middle-finger of Holmes. Her latest indie film 'Touched With Fire,' is one big endorsement of psychology, which Scientology is known for opposing," the article added.
Meanwhile, rumors have been circulating that the reason why Katie and Jamie are rushing to get married is because the actress is already pregnant.
"Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx have tried hard to keep their romantic relationship quiet for a few years," CDL claimed. "But will word finally get out now that Holmes and Foxx are planning to wed in an ultra-private ceremony in the spring? Are Katie and Jamie rushing to get married because they are expecting a baby?"
