While there is no official word from Apple yet, the release of Apple MacBook Pro 2016 may be imminent following a huge price cut on the 15-inch Retina MacBook Pro.

In its report, Yibada confirmed that the 15-inch Retina MacBook Pro got a massive discount as Always Deals Store via eBay is currently offering the device with the specs 2.5GHz, 16GB and 512GB at $1,950. Hence, a huge discount of over $500 from an original price of $2,499. The discounted price, accordingly, comes with a free shipping package.

Added by Yibada in its report are some of the features of the 15-inch MacBook Pro 2015 that include Force Touch trackpad, 512GB SSD, AMD Radeon R9 M370X graphics, a 2.5GHz quad-core Core i7 CPU, 16GB 1600MHz memory and built-in battery lasting up to 9 hours.

In a related news, Master Herald reported that if there could be improvements in the Apple MacBook Pro 2016, it will certainly be focused on a lighter, thinner body and an improved hardware.

It highlighted that the main selling point of the MacBook lineup has always been its "lightweight, portable design and comfortable form factor." It noted, however, that if the MacBook Pro 2016 will go with a much lighter and thinner body, the MacBook Air's existence may become obsolete.

There are already rumors circulating that Apple may be dropping the MacBook Air lineup but according to  Master Herald, this may not be true as in the past, there were also talks about the iPod being on its way out as it was made obsolete by the iPhone and yet, a new iPod came out successfully.

The report added that some of the major improvements in the hardware of the MacBook Pro 2016 is the USB Type-C and an improved Force Touch trackpad for increased security.

Right now, there are possible three dates of release for the MacBook Pro 2016: rumored Apple events on March and April or the WWDC event in June.
