On Feb. 21 at Barcelona in a press conference, Chinese company Huawei is set to announce its new flagship phone, the Huawei P9, which will replace the year-old P8.
The press conference, accordingly, will take place at 2 P.M. local time (1 P.M. GMT), which coincides with LG's press conference in the same city.
According to the International Business Times, this year, Huawei joins LG, Samsung and other tech companies in Barcelona to launch its much-awaited new flagship smartphone, the Huawei P9. It is remembered that Huawei had previously launched the Huawei P8 in London and the Huawei P7 in Paris during its own media event for major phone launches.
IB Times added that although not part of the event, the launch of Huawei P9 will take place on the eve of the 2016 Mobile World Congress, which is set to begin on Feb. 22 also in Barcelona. WMC is an annual trade show where technology companies unveil new devices like phones, tablets, wearables and others.
On the same date, Feb. 21, Samsung is also expected to launch its new smartphones: Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. Also, Huawei is set to launch a new product line called Matebook, which is a laptop and notebook hybrid that can run both Android and Windows 10, this is Huawei's counterpart of Apple's iPad and the Microsoft Surface.
What can users and enthusiasts expect from the upcoming Huawei P9? According to IB Times, the Huawei P9 will come in four color variants namely silver, gold, white and metallic pink. The new flagship phone from Huawei will also have a duo rear camera and a fingerprint reader at the back of the screen. It will also have a 5.2-inch full HD screen.
