Canon USA Inc. just released a new flagship camera, Canon EOS 80D, that would primarily aid aspiring artists who would like to turn their passion into online videos through different social platforms.
In an article by Canon Rumors, the Canon 80D is marketed as:
"Designed to Help Unleash the Creative Potential in Us All, New Imaging Technology Will Help You Shoot and Share Amazing Images and Video"
The new camera is said to have a 45-point AF system, 24.2 megapixel CMOS sensor, a new EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM lens optimized to perform high-speed autofocusing even in still and quiet subjects and smooth zoom when shooting video.
In terms of updated features, Canon Rumors also mentioned that the 80D has an all-new 45-point all cross type AF system, an intelligent viewfinder with approximately 100% viewfinder coverage, a newly developed 24.2 megapixel (APS-C) CMOS sensor, a DIGIC 6 image processor for enhanced quality image, an improved dual pixel CMOS for smooth, fast and accurate autofocus with video and stills, a built-in Wi-Fi 2 and NFC 2 capability, a 1080/60p full video HD, and a vari-angle touch screen 3.0-inch clear view LCD II monitor.
Furthermore, Yuichi Ishizuka, president and COO of Canon U.S.A., Inc. stated that the company wanted to provide consumers a proper tool that would aid and enable them to produce quality images and videos that would be a stepping stone in getting their creativity noticed.
