SpaceX is undeniably one of the leading companies in terms of aerospace manufacturing and space transport. The company was founded by Tesla Motors CEO, Elon Musk, just 14 years ago in 2002 but already the team behind the brand have developed revolutionary rockets that could possibly make space travel available for the masses.

Late last year, SpaceX successfully accomplished a vertical landing of the Falcon 9 rocket - which is the first time such a feat has been accomplished following an orbital launch.  The company subsequently attempted to land a Falcon 9 rocket on a floating platform last January. While the launch went on smoothly, the rocket exploded when it attempted to land on the droneship.

The company has scheduled a launch of the Falcon 9 rocket on a target at sea mere days ago in February 24, 2016. However, the company has since announced its decision to delay their project. According to the official statement, the company has decided to halt the launch because the liquid oxygen in the rocket is not as cold as they wanted it to be.

"Out of an abundance of caution, the team opted to hold launch for today to ensure liquid oxygen temperatures are as cold as possible in an effort to maximize performance of the vehicle" read a part of the statement.

It was announced that Space X intends to deploy the Falcon 9 today at 6:46 PM. However, according to the company's official twitter page the team behind today's deployment has decided to hold off the launch once again.

Aside from the announcement, no details about today's decision to delay have been explained.

"Countdown held for the day. Teams are reviewing the data and next available launch date" read the tweet.

Neither Space X nor Elon Musk has announced when the new launch date would be.
