Rebecca Ferguson's career graph is showing only upward curve. Her upcoming movie ''The Girl on the Train'' will be released in the US on Oct. 7, 2016.
This upcoming psychological thriller has casted Emily Blunt (as Rachel Watson), Rebecca Ferguson (as Anna), Haley Bennett (as Megan), Justin Theroux (as Tom), Luke Evans (as Scott), and Édgar Ramírez (as Dr. Kamal Abdic).
The plot revolves around Rachel Watson (played by Emily Blunt) who takes a train to her workplace in London. And the sad part is that the train passes the old home of Watson where her ex-husband Tom (played by Justin Theroux) and Anna (played by Rebecca Ferguson) live. The drama intensifies with the involvement of another couple and the lady of the house going missing.
This film is directed by Tate Taylor. The Hollywood reporter talked about the distribution rights of this film. The inclusion of Luke Evans too was reported by THR. Amblin Partners will distribute this film along with Universal. Variety and The wrap talked about the cast of the film which started assembling in Dec 2015. Variety also reported that Allison Janney will be playing the role of Officer Riley in this movie.
Deadline reported that Ferguson, Edgar Ramirez and Haley Bennett will join the cast of this movie in 2015. Lisa Kudrow who is very popular for her role as Phoebe Buffay in the 1994 NBC sitcom ''Friends'' too will be a part of this ensemble cast. The Hollywood Reporter talked about her role as Monica in this upcoming film. She was recently in news for the ''Friends Re-union'' which was aired on Feb. 21, 2016 on the NBC network.
Apart from this, Ferguson will also be seen in the upcoming movies ''The Snowman,'' ''Florence Foster Jenkins,'' ''Despite the Falling Snow.'' She is also a strong contender for the role of Carol Danvers in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe's movie ''Captain Marvel.'' Even Emily Blunt who is a co-star of Ferguson in this upcoming film is a strong contender for the same role. Ferguson has also signed for ''Prometheus 2: Alien Covenant.''
It seems this year will be truly busy for this talented actress.
