The development of both the versions of "H1Z1" is progressing well. The test servers have been updated on Mar.4 and the next updates will be released soon by the developers. However, the fact that now the gamers have to pay for both the games has made them unhappy.

Initially this game was supposed to be released in the Q1 of 2016, however as per the latest update, the game is split into two versions. Daybreak Game Company (now known as Sony Online Entertainment) who are developing this game clarified that now the games will be named as: the first one ''H1Z1: Just Survive'' and the second one ''H1Z1: King of the Kill.''

On Feb. 17, 2016, this split happened and the gamers were not happy as they have to shell out more now to play both of them. The official website has the details of the conversations. There was a game-split downtime and the developers had updated about it.

''Tomorrow morning we are going to be bringing the servers down starting at 4:30AM Pacific. That's when the real work begins. If everything goes according to plan the games should be up in 12 hours.''

On Feb. 18, the developers clarified that now there will be two separate livestreams for both the games. The live streams were launched on Feb. 24 and Feb. 25 and pertaining to these changes, the trading was closed. On Feb. 22, the company announced that they have separated the social media channels too.

Chris Wynn, the Executive Producer on Feb. 26 came up with many updates in the official website and mentioned, ''I know that many of you have poured countless hours into 'H1Z1' and all of the developers thank you for that.  We are in a phase where we are regrouping and refocusing, so your dedication is really appreciated.''

In the weekly updates he talked about the bug fixes, and mentioned, ''Helmets are the same now, no differences between motorcycle helmets and military helmets, they will behave the same.'' There were updates on both the versions of the games.

On Mar. 2, the US and EU servers were restarted at 3:00 AM PT (11:00 AM GMT) for a brief maintenance. On Mar. 4, Wynn talked about the trade delays on Steam.

''We are watching the player feedback on this topic and discussing internally'' clarified Wynn. There were more updates about the bug fixes and the progress in the development phases of both the games.

Even though the company has kept the gamers updated about the phase by phase development of the game, they have not given any concrete date about the release of the PS4 version. The test versions are being tested by the gamers and the company has been interacting with them and taking their feedback to improve the same.
