Many fans have noticed that in the released trailers of Suicide Squad, so far, Jared Leto's Joker had very little (or none at all) interaction with the squad, which makes a lot of fans speculate that Joker may not be really part of the squad and he will be appearing in the film in a different role.

In a previous report by Cinema Blend, it said that Jared Leto's Joker "may have a different role in 'Suicide Squad' than we thought." The report further said that Jared Leto's Joker may be lingering long and hard over the DC Cinematic Universe and that the iconic villain will have a bigger role especially with a solo "Batman" movie is in development for Ben Affleck.

In a related report, Hall of Fame Magazine agreed with the theories of Cinema Blend about Jared Leto's longer involvement with upcoming DC movies and further said that the villain may just be DC Cinematic Universe's Thanos, who everyone knows is the ultimate villain in the Marvel's "Avengers" story arc.

The report highlighted that Joker is among the biggest villains on the DC roster and if the theory is, indeed, true, it may attract a bigger cult following for the legendary villain.

"He could be that powerful villain meant to be teased over several films before he takes the spotlight," Hall of Fame Magazine wrote.

The report further speculated that to strengthen his villainous objectives, Joker may be teaming up with another iconic villain in the person of Lex Luthor, Jr., played by Jesse Eisenberg.

It highlighted how Jared Leto's Joker is described by the "Suicide Squad" producer as a "more social" Joker compared to previous portrayals of the villain. Joker is also dubbed as "a very successful and smart businessman" hence it is highly possible that he and Luthor would spawn an alliance.

"Lex's intelligence and Joker's mania are paramount to the most powerful villainous combination in history-something that every fan would interestingly want to see," the report said.
