Jennifer Lawrence had just been named the 2014's highest-grossing actor in Hollywood by Forbes. "Guardians of the Galaxy" actor Chris Patt and "Captain America's" Scarlett Johansson came in second and third place respectively.

The Oscar winning actress starred in back-to-back blockbuster hits "X-Men: Days of Future Past" and "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1". Combined, the movies have grossed over $1.4 billion at the box office worldwide this year. Lawrence's revenue will also likely increase since "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1" is still in theatres.

Lawrence also wowed everyone when she scored her first Billboard chart hit with "Hanging Tree" from The Hunger Games franchise. The track landed the 12th spot in last month's countdown despite JLaw's confession that her voice sounded like a "tone deaf Amy Winehouse" on the David Letterman Show earlier this month.

Being given the title of the highest grossing actor in 2014 was a big deal especially since it was recently reported that Lawrence was paid less than her male counterparts. According to leaked Sony emails reported by The Daily Beasts, Lawrence and Amy Adams were paid less than their "American Hustle" on-screen male counterparts Bradley Cooper, Christian Bale and Jeremy Renner.

Coming close in second place was Chris Pratt with "Guardians of the Galaxy" and "The Lego Movie". The actor raked in $1.2 billion in global grosses. The Marvel film grossed over $772 million while the Warner Bros animated film grossed $468 million at the box office worldwide. The success of the "Lego Movie" also spawned a sequel slated to release on 2018, as well as a Batman spin-off that should hit theaters in 2017.

Scarlett Johansson came in the third place raking in $1.18 billion from the sequel "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" that grossed $714 million worldwide. Johansson also starred in the hit films "Lucy" and "Under The Skin".

Forbes reportedly based the rankings on Box Office Mojo for global movie grosses.
