Chris Brown had recently cancelled his New Year's Eve concert at the last minute because of a lost passport. But a source from Hollywood Life, claims that the singer intentionally decided to do a no-show to be with his on-again girlfriend Karrueche Tran.
The 25-year-old took to Twitter to announce that he won't be making the performance due to "unforeseen circumstances".
He tweeted:
"#TeamBreezyManila! Due to unfortunate circumstances I can't bring in the new year with you...
"Too bad since the Philippines Arena is one of the best arenas in the world! Stay tuned Team Breezy!!!!"
The "New Flame" singer, however, was quick to assure his fans from Manila that he will see them in Spring.
The organizers claim that Chris lost his passport the day before the event. An insider, however, claims that the singer wanted to celebrate the New Year with Karrueche.
"No disrespect to his fans out there, but once he and Karrueche got back together over Christmas, Chris knew he wasn't going to be able to make that venue."
Even though Karrueche reportedly wanted Chris to honor his commitment, the source adds that Chris "flat out" didn't want to. The singer wanted to spend every minute making it up to her after that nasty break up.
"Some things mean more to me than money and my career and that's you. I want to bring in my New Year with you and that's what the f-k I'm going to do," Chris allegedly claims.
After publicly humiliating Karrueche in a Los Angeles concert a few weeks ago, Chris took to Twitter to apologize and win his beau back.
"Everybody know I love that girl. I don't care how my image my look to the public because I'm still gonna be the best at what I do. I just want baby girl to know I apologize!" he tweeted.
After the two reunited, Chris assured Karrueche that no woman will ever compare to her, not even Rihanna. An insider from Hollywood Life claims that the singer even dissed his ex to make Karrueche feel secured of their relationship.
"You're my queen.Rihanna is nothing compared to you. You see I'm with you. I will never, ever compare you to her as long as I live. She doesn't even exist to me. You are my everything. Everything I am and have is because of you."
