The Ebola outbreak was a top trending topic worldwide and in their list, it topped the searches for symptoms of diseases. It was followed by flu symptoms which became a popular topic in the recent epidemic in the United States.
In Google's overall trending searches, Robin William's untimely death led the list because it had the biggest boost in search traffic. His suicide raised concerns on mental health.
The growing interest of the public on health and fitness issues has been highlighted in the annual report. In fact, workouts and diets were two of the trending topics worldwide. The Paleo diet led the race and has earned first place while Shaun T's Insanity workout and T25 workout landed in the first and second spots respectively.
For diets, Paleo diet and Atkins diet led the race with the first and second spot. Paleo diet, also known as Paleolithic diet, revolves around what our cavemen ancestors ate thousands of years ago while Atkins diet is characterized by a low carbohydrate diet program that promises fast weight loss.
