"Arrow" fans are in for one crazy ride! The season 3, episode 13 entitled "Canaries" is expected to have a "game-changing twist" they should not dare miss.
According to Latin Post, fans can look forward to an epic battle between Laurel Lance (Katy Cassidy) who recently transitioned into the Black Canary and her sister Sara (Caity Lotz), the original Canary. Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) would also realize the impact of his absence in the Starling City. Oliver is now expected to adjust working with a team that has learned to function without him.
In an interview with TV Line, "Arrow" executive producer Marc Guggenheim said Oliver would suffer from a power struggle after finding out that his team has moved on from his "death."
"Things are not going to be as simple as, 'OK, guys I'm back! Everyone start listening to me again.' He's going to struggle with a brand-new team dynamic, one that is a lot more democratic than he is used to," he revealed.
It doesn't help that Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) declared that she doesn't want to be involved with Oliver anymore, not in the romantic sense anyway. Guggenheim revealed that the writers wanted to experiment with the dynamics of Felicity and Oliver's relationship.
"We very much want to explore what it looks like with Felicity still working with Oliver but post the events of Episodes 10, 11 and 12, where she has not only moved on romantically, but, along with Diggle and Roy, has developed a bit more ownership and more agency in the 'lair,' as it were. It's going to be interesting to see what happens if Oliver decides to call the shots and expects everyone to just fall in line the way they used to," he shared.
"Episode 13 kicks off the next piece of our story, and things get a really crazy from here on out," he added.
"Arrow" Season 3, Episode 13, "Canaries," airs on Wednesday, Feb. 11, at 8 p.m. on the CW.
