"Digimon Adventure Tri" may premiere this April as confirmed by Anime News Network.

The April issue of Shueisha's "V Jump" has published the character designs for Yamato Ishida and Gabumon. Both of whom will be appearing in Toei's newest anime series "Digimon Adventure Tri." Taichi/Tai and Agumon's character designs have been previously unveiled by the magazine last month.

Atsuya Uki created the character designs while Yuuko Kakihara will act as series script supervisor and Keitaro Motonaga will direct the series.

A new Digi-egg appeared on the official "Digimon Adventure" website recently. Fans can visit the site everyday and click the egg. It is uncertain what will hatch out of the egg. It might be an official release date announcement or an official trailer for the series. "Digimon Adventure Tri" serves to commemorate the 15 year anniversary of the franchise.

The first poster for Toei's newest series features the original cast of characters with their fellow Digimon companions. The image was first revealed through the Twitter account of "Digimon Adventure" 15th Anniversary. Another poster, which was uploaded a few months ago, depicted the cast falling from the sky.

"We've got our first look at the Digimon in Digimon Adventure Tri, and now have official confirmation that the original Japanese voice cast will return," IGN reported.

A video posted on the official "Digimon Adventure Tri" website revealed that the series' original protagonist, Taichi, also known as Tai, will be 17 years old in the upcoming anime show. It teased a spring 2015 release. The newest series will feature his high school days.

The series is set about six years after the events of "Digimon Adventure" and three years after "Digimon Adventure 02." Taichi and his friends, the Chosen Children group, will reunite with their Digimon partners to protect the Digital World from evil.

"Digimon is coming back," the series' official website wrote.
