Apple cider vinegar (ACV)  has gained popularity as many individuals are aware of its many uses especially in the aspect of health and medicine. Since the time of Dr. Hippocrates, it has been used to cure many ailments and as years has passed by, more studies emerged proving its potency and efficacy as a type of alternative medicine component.

Apple cider vinegar is made from pressed apples or apple cider which was left to ferment into alcohol and then vinegar. It contains many ingredients that are natural and potent in treating many diseases.

Weight loss is one result it promised for many years. One study in Japan can attest to this ability of ACV. In the study, 75 obese individuals took in either water or apple cider vinegar. The group who drank ACV lost more weight than those who drank water. Approximately 1-2 pounds were lost in a three month period.

Apple cider vinegar has been branded as a tool to battle cardiovascular and other illnesses. It has been used for many years to reduce blood cholesterol levels as well as blood lipids. Also, it was proven that it can also lower blood glucose levels. According to studies, it can block some of the digestion of starch. Hence, sugar spikes are prevented.

Lastly, apple cider vinegar contains Acetic acid. Acetic acid works by dissolving the lipids and fats in the outer envelope of viruses. The lipid layer of the capsule or envelope of viruses is the protection of the virus. When white blood cells will attack and kill the virus, it will be easier without their envelopes.

Apple cider vinegar is a widespread sensation because of its medicinal properties that can prevent illness and treat present diseases. In fact, it is known globally as the vinegar that has many therapeutic properties. Of course, the most popular of them all is for weight loss.
